Willington
Willington is home to our office on Mercia Marina. The marina is at the centre of Willington, attracting visitors from across the Midlands to enjoy the tranquil scenery and rare wildlife, including Black Swans! The marina is host to bespoke clothing and jewellery outlets, a fine art gallery, cafes, restaurants and bars, as well as floating shops on the marina. A family day out can be enjoyed on one of the many wildlife walks, cycle routes or boat trips down the canal. Outside of the marina there are an array of traditional and gastro pubs and restaurants, as well as a pharmacy, veterinary, convenience store, train station, community centre and St Michael’s Church.
The village is situated north of Repton, between the River Trent and Mersey Canal. It is within close proximity to the a38, as well as having its own train station providing excellent transport links. A good ofsted rating Primary School is within the village, as well as being within a 3 minute drive of Repton School, recognised as one of the top sporting schools in the UK for excelling in Hockey, Football, Cricket and Tennis.
